When ever i travelling in public transport i see 80% of peoples in just one single bus will be scoroling and sticking their faces to Social medias, In today's digital age we have come to a position where we cant like without social media, it has become an integral part of our daily lives. But as we dive deep into this virtual world or a world where peoples are immersed in one the other social media app, a pressing questions emerged in my brain, the question is Is Social medial is really connecting the peoples as it mend to be or Is it creating the distance between the peoples through Isolation.

Hmm.... i can see many disadvantages in social media and also there are plenty of advantages too(i am confused what to call it, whether as a Friend or a Foe) for now all i can think about it as an double-edged sword. This social media plays a major role in bringing the diversed background peoples and their traditions together and it has the potential to rewiring our brain(Especially this is effecting more on a young brains, because a child between age 2 to 6 have more brain cells, it undego rewiring the brain cells and prouning the excessive cells till age 10, if a child is addicted to social medial this may affect in Cognitive impairment). In this blog i'll share my personal thoughts on how social meia is affecting our cognitive brain, it's advantages, how it is addictive and similar kind of stuffs.

Well this is about the Advantages:- From perspective of developer mindset we can search for an communities where we can find like minded peoples on certain technologies, we can connect to them they might introduce you to the other peoples where you may find new path to walk where u destined to, i have a story to justfy what am i saying too, when i was sitting and watching the YouTube during pandamic i've got new random channel suggession named "Ishan Sharma", he had started to post the videos very recently to that time, he started the channel like every one else with less views and no suscribers, then he started to do freelansing and connecting to different clients and peoples, and making some courses to sell on EdTech platforms, now recently i've seen him posting the poadcast videos where he sat with well known and successful business mans and sharing his openions and sharing their thoughts to each others, this is why eyery one say "Your mind becomes what u consume".

About Cognitive Impairment:- resently i was listening to Poadcast from "Andrew Huberman" he is a neuroscientist where he mostly speaks about brain, boosting cognitive functions on brains, in one of his episode the guest mentiond an article titled "Teen Brain Aged Prematurely During COVID-19 Pandamic" after me reading that article i got to kown that (based on the MRI scans of brain before and after the pandamic) every childrens brain who were locked-up and isolated for 3 years, their brain parts responsible for memory and emotions got thinner, And brain portions responsible for Self-Controle, problem solving got thinner, they these changes are normal in brain development but they appear to be happening faster during the pandamic.                                                                                                                                                                                  just by isolation childerens have depleated their cognitive abelities, now a days we adults are isolating our-selves from any relations we have and living in our owne social media life, make an assumption to what extent it is affect us.

Research suggests that prolonged social media use can lead to structural changes in the brain:

  • Alterations in gray matter volume in areas associated with attention and emotional processing.
  • Changes in white matter connectivity, potentially affecting cognitive flexibility.
  • Dopamine system alterations, similar to those seen in addictive behaviors.
Research shown that each like or positive comments leads to release of dopamine, and harmones primarily associated with pleasure in or brain. Dopamin is a motivation molecule that tend to spike in pursuit of rewards. this vary nature is what keeping us seeking rewards. Our brain releases dopamin when ever we see any one hit the like button for our posts this leads to instant gratification without any hard work, this is what makes us addicted to social media (this kind of rewards are incredibly addicting). In fact, Harvard researchers have found that the dopamin release in response to receiving a like is equatable to the dopamin released while doing drug like cocaine.

k then see you all guys...I am ending my thought and words hear with some flashy words which is popping in my head right now.
"In this moment someone i know might be living the life i desired but in future i'll make sure i am living life i desired".
